Otter - Incredibly Accurate Voice to Text Transcription
What does it do?
Otter.ai is an online service and mobile application that allows you to record or upload audio and turns it into a searchable and editable text file.
Content creation is the biggest challenge of any professional communicator. Imagine being able to simply record that interview, meeting, conference via an app and receive the (incredibly accurate) text version in return.
Or, if you already have recorded audio (podcasts anyone?), just upload it to Otter and it will return the text in an easily editable format.
It is amazingly accurate and comes with an editing interface to change the returned text where needed.
Otter also identifies keywords in the audio file, makes the text searchable and identifies different speakers automatically.
Example: reposition your content! I'll be using it to create the e-book, based on the audio files of the 30 keynote presentations of the Virtual Public Relations Summit for instance.
