Welcome
Transform information chaos from multiple sources into an organised workplace.
Dear reader,
In this week's edition of The Public Relations Tool Shack Newsletter I cover Nimbus, a serious alternative to Evernote and a very complete workspace to manage your information, projects, knowledge, tasks etc...
You can use it for yourself, but it has a powerful team and business edition for groups of professionals like agencies and even larger companies.
Enjoy and if you like the newsletter, don't keep it for yourself, share it! ;-)
Tool

This is the new tool for your arsenal
Nimbus Note: transform information chaos from multiple sources into an organised workplace.
Easily manage all your Communication assets and campaigns, from planning to execution. Stay on top of your tasks, collaborate with your team, synchronize with your clients, and never miss a deadline again.
What does it do?
Nimbus Note is a platform and app which allows you to create notes, documents, wiki pages and more. It is also a place where you can create lists, tasks, databases, spreadsheets and tables. The best thing though is that it can link every single piece of information or content you create.
Nimbus Note comes with Nimbus Capture; an add on in your browser/application which allows you to take screenshots, create screen casts (video), annotate and edit these "captures" and includes optical character recognition.
And you can also install Nimbus Clipper in your favorite browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) to grab all kinds of content from web pages. You can also use it to delete any ads, images, or links from a web page.
PR Application
I have gone from using Evernote to Nimbus Note because it allows me to gather all information I need in one place and link relevant pieces together. I can also collaborate with other consultants and clients is secure private spaces within the platform.
For PR professionals and teams, Nimbus Note will allow you to accomplish tasks more quickly, while avoiding the complexity of additional project management tools. Add meeting notes, tasks, documents, images, and code snippets. Easily track any item that you need for your projects.
Teams can readily coordinate by accessing work items in a single, secure location and can access workspaces from anywhere — mobile phone, desktop, or directly at the Nimbus website.
You can use @mentions to assign tasks to your colleagues (or clients) and keep them on track. Track changes to documents, then consolidate to make key decisions. When priorities change, quickly send alerts to bring everyone together to change directions.
Another interesting use case for Nimbus Capture is visual communication, both for teams and customers. It allows you to bring a personal touch to customer interactions with videos and screenshots. You can record short videos and then easily share it in an email link, CRM tool, or any other communication tool.

Webinar: Preparing your Communications Team to Handle Social Media Manipulation
An IPRA Thought Leadership Webinar:
Communications teams are now expected to show up with answers to questions such as: Why is our brand suddenly trending? Why is our spokesperson under fire? Why are we being boycotted? Who’s behind it? How did this happen? Why didn’t we see it coming? What happens next?
In this webinar we'll look at how modern comms teams are using social intelligence so they don't get surprised by social media manipulation, and can make strategic decisions that mitigate risk and keep your team in control of the brand's story.
